There's no shortage of "tactical" belts on the market today, and it's not difficult to find companies or individuals producing products with various types of nylon or webbing materials. For these reasons we tried to find a company that sets themselves apart from the crowd not only with a superior product but with the standards of integrity, ingenuity, customer service, and attention to detail that are so important in business today. Snake eater tactical ( www.snakeeatertactical.com ) turned out to be just that company. First of all they're a small American business that stands for everything we believe in; supporting veterans and the second amendment while hand making innovative products here in the US. They are also a major supporter of physical fitness awareness, which we highly respect as we are tactical athletes and/or strength and conditioning coaches ourselves. Finally, their appreciation for real music legends like Marty Robbins was just icing on the cake for us.
The country music influence shows through in their stylish and innovative “spaghetti western” stitch pattern design (one of the patterns of stitching they offer on their riggers belts). The diamondback pattern design we chose to go with on our belt is also unique and aesthetically pleasing. The fit, finish, and attention to detail on our riggers belt is impeccable. It's what you would expect and more in a handmade item from a skilled artist plying their trade. In fact, our belt was a completely custom request with a very specific loop sewn in for emergency rappels, rescue, and extraction. We gave them a general idea of what we wanted and they got it exactly right on their first attempt. It is a solid enough setup that I personally trusted my life with while doing several emergency rappels with the belt setup as a “battle belt”. For my setup I slipped a battle belt style molle panel over my snake-eater riggers belt, and attached a carabiner to the custom sewn loop. Now on my belt I carry a secondary weapon, primary and secondary weapon magazines, a first aid/blowout kit, a fighting knife, a multi-tool, and the aforementioned carabiner. Our riggers belt came with the tried and true cobra buckle that is known for its practicality, ease of use, and solid construction. Their website has just about any configuration of belt one could want or need, and if it doesn't they have the ability to custom manufacture practically any features one could dream up. The cost is also very reasonable considering the quality, you get what you pay for. This level of available customization, their great customer service, skilled workmanship, attention to detail, and integrity in business make writing this review a pleasure.
They now offer several new products unique to their company including a new belt system that completely eliminates the need for Velcro. Other innovative products they offer are a series of rifle and pistol magazine retention systems. We have not had experience with any of these products, but we look forward to testing and reviewing some of them in the future. We recommend their line of riggers belts to anyone who wants the highest quality handmade product for a good price, and/or has a custom request only a small business with great customer service can handle. Buy American, support handmade!

“The Riggers Belt:
The Riggers belt has come a long way since they were first made from surplus parachute hardware in military paralofts. At Snake Eater Tactical, we look at the belt as the foundation of every man-of-action’s kit. You put it on with your pants in the morning and it is with you everywhere you go. The belt is what you attach your pistol and spare ammo to. It also carries your knives, multitools, lights, and any other gear you may need at a moments notice, on a daily basis. Our philosophy is that a man-of-action’s belt should be as strong, comfortable and durable as possible. Additionally, there is nothing wrong with it looking good!
The S.E.T. Diamondback Cobra Riggers Belt
Our Cobra Riggers belt follows in the tradition of the original riggers belts, but with updates in hardware and refinements in style. First,we use the Austrialpin Cobra buckle exclusively. This is simply the best buckle money can buy. It is extremely strong with a 4000 lb breaking strength, and it will not open when under load, making it very safe. It is made from Aluminum so it is light weight and will not rust. Second, we have eliminated all unnecessary hardware, such as the steel V-Ring that early riggers belts featured. This eliminates weight and clutter from the belt. Instead, our belts feature a 2″ opening next to the buckle in the event the user needs to clip into an anchor. Third, we add style. There is nothing wrong with looking good. We add a touch of style to this belt with a contrasting diamond stitch pattern creating our trademark Diamondback belt. This pattern not only set our belts apart from all of the mass produced riggers belts on the market, but add rigidity to the belt without affecting flexibility or comfort.
