Cholombia Combat Shirts (various options)
2017-2018 Honduras, Central America. President Juan Orlando Hernandez, quietly backed by the US Gov, changes the Constitution of Honduras to allow himself to run for another term. However, his transfer of power right back into his own hands didn't go over so easy... hundreds of thousands of people revolted with burning, looting, stealing, and disrupting all forms of transportation throughout the country.
Why? Because the US government wants to control the illegal drug trade via “the war on drugs”. What our government tells us is $50,000,000,000.00 (yes 50 billion dollars) spent annually to keep drugs off our streets is actually an excuse to meddle in foreign policy and control organized crime in Latin America. It's obvious to anyone with two brain cells to rub together on a cold night that our government isn't trying very hard to keep drugs out of the hands of young Americans, but what are they really doing down here? They have learned that if they control who is in power in the illegal drug trade, they can control the political decisions and even the economy of the country itself. They do this by allowing crime bosses to run rampant as long as they do what they're told (to a certain extent), they then extradite everyone who doesn’t play by their rules to the U.S. (even if they've never been on US soil), thereby continuing the massive ongoing snowball effect of our for-profit prison system. How do I know all this? Because I there I was, right in the middle of it.
Amidst the rioting, burning, destruction, chaos, looting, and shooting. The "mareros" controlling strategic checkpoints along contraband routes. The "protesting" general populace. Dodging roving patrols of Honduran military, CIA, DEA, and various American military personnel from Soto Cano Air Base (the only official US Military base in Central America at the time) who have the entire country under martial law with instructions to shoot first and ask questions later… There’s me. And about this time, I started wearing uniform shirts made by a friend of mine who, like many Hondurans, works his butt off from sun up till sundown just to put food on the table. It was illegal to be on the streets, illegal to carry a firearm, and illegal to wear camo… So, living dangerously as I was, this time of my life is what inspired me to design and produce the Bone Tactical Cholombia shirt. I wanted a shirt that was cool and represented my American patriotism so I chose this US Military type camo. The same camo print favored by most of the world's most elite operators, it lets people know right away you mean business. I chose to add some small hints of Hawaiian print because I also wanted to let people know I’m not in the military, I’m a one man A-team, and I’m ready to party.
It’s called the "Cholombia" shirt because they were originally produced in Choloma, Honduras (one of the most dangerous places on earth at the time). In the early days if we had to work late the employees would sleep in our workshop, dreaming in rhythm with the gunshots popping off outside, because the streets were too dangerous to leave after dark. They're no longer made in the same location, our new location will remain undisclosed to protect the PERSEC of our employees, but they are still individually hand made, and now by some of the world's finest tailors. Honduran men are known internationally for their excellent sewing and clothes-making abilities. In fact, many top designer’s produce their clothing in Honduras. What’s sad is that they don’t allow their clothes to be sold in country at all, they even shred and burn the factory defect items instead of giving them to the poor and needy (reaping huge profits while paying their employees barely enough to survive). Buying from Bone Tactical allows you to help make the world a better place by supporting the small business owner, the impoverished, and the destitute (we are constantly using proceeds for our various outreach programs). Because that’s what we're all about. We stand up for what is right, even if it is not popular or profitable.
Cholombia shirts are available in standard men’s sizes Small through 2XL and consist of camouflage with a touch of Hawaiian print highlights to add a bit of style. Sizing runs a bit large to facilitate concealed carry, please check the sizing chart in the photos before ordering. The fabric is a breathable poly-cotton blend, uncalendared, high-quality DWR and the same material the US Military is now using. This camouflage technology is proven to outperform other camo prints across a wide-range of environments. It's second to none in abrasion resistance, water repellency, and overall quality. The shirt itself is vented in the rear with internal netting to further increase breathability and moisture wicking. The plethora of Velcro pockets make small item storage a breeze and like the rest of the shirt, are made with extreme attention to detail. If you want a shirt no one else has, of the highest quality, that supports the right things and is just as suited to performing anything from rigorous outdoor activities to the hunting of men in faraway lands or even a casual night on the town… Then this is the shirt for you.
